Mindfulness for Uncertain Times - 6 Week Course
Online - in your home!
From Tuesday 14th April for 6 weeks- 7-9pm

Picture

During these uncertain and unpredictable times Mindfulness meditation can offer a resource and refuge of grounded presence.

We can learn to support ourselves to better know and manage our stress responses to all that is happening in the world around us, and be better equipped to respond from an open-hearted, kind and ethical place.

When things fall apart and we see there is so much suffering there is also the opportunity for us to wake-up our hearts in an unprecedented way.

The ultimate gift of meditation is that it helps us come home to a space of presence that is large enough for whatever we encounter. And it’s from that space that we can actually live from who we most want to be.

Whether you are new to Mindfulness or an experienced meditator with a beginners mind, this course will offer support for you in these uncertain times.

"The course not only introduced me to meditation and mindfulness, it gave me the skills to be kinder to myself in a way that I have not explored before. The peer support within the group was heart warming and comforting. A valuable experience"

In many ways I rediscovered meditation by doing the mindfulness course. I got pretty rusty. Sitting in group meditation really helped my practice, it helped me to remember and regain my sense of faith in what regular mediation can achieve in bringing about more peace and stillness into my life. The sessions felt secure and comfortable, infused with Justines warmth and kindness.

This Six-week Introduction to Mindfulness will support you to cultivate a focused and embodied attention, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and greater sense of ease and well-being. You will learn a variety of mindfulness meditations and practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily activities at work, home and in relationships.

The small group for the duration of the course, limited to 16 participants, will journey together and co-create a deeply supportive learning space.

Each week we will explore a different theme of Mindfulness. All sessions will combine a short talk and presentation, experiential practice of the mindfulness techniques, group discussion and sharing,  opportunity to ask questions and support, there will also be emailed handouts, a link to the online presentation and resources and homework.

Whilst honouring that Mindfulness meditation finds it's roots in Buddhism and contemplative practice, this course is offered as a secular practice. The course is taught as a practical application to daily living and can be of benefit to anyone and everyone!

We will learn to:

* train our attention and focus

* become more aware of our own stress responses and find ways to resource and stay within our 'resilience zone'

* stay present and embodied

* reduce reactivity to experience

* encourage emotional intelligence

* notice thought patterns including self-judgment

* cultivate care and compassion towards ourselves and others

The course will require a commitment to regular weekly attendance as well as a short daily home practice. The course will be limited to no more than 16 participants.

Dates are: April 14, 21, 28 & May 5, 12, 19

The course is offered on a tiered pay what you can basis. Please consider your personal circumstances and what you can afford at this time.

The sessions will be held online via Zoom - you will be sent a link before the first session and will just need a calm, uninterrupted space to join the call from for two hours each Tuesday evening. To support the groups confidentiality you will need to attend all sessions at the time of the call and none of the calls will be recorded. If, for any reason, you are unable to make any of the calls I will send you the online presentations and hand outs for that week - but regular weekly attendance is strongly encouraged!

Full Value - £90 - paying this amount reflects the full value of the course and what I've charged when running the course previously.
Second Tier - £60 - please pay this if you still have an income but have also been impacted financially by the COVID outbreak
Third Tier - £40 - please pay this if you are struggling financially but are able to stretch to support covering my costs.
Fourth Tier - £20 - For those on very reduced income
Fifth Tier - No Cost - I am happy to offer two places per course to those who would otherwise not be able to attend otherwise, please contact me to request a free place.
